We understand that there may be some concerns with regard to the shifting sands of Covid-19 but please rest assured that we recognise that these are extraordinary times and we will be as flexible as we can. It is a tricky balance for us between the need to plan ahead and the need to take into account everyone’s concerns but I believe that, if we work together we can do what’s right and hopefully make it work.
We will attempt to answer some of the more common questions around your Covid-19 concerns here but, if you have any questions which aren’t answered, please don’t hesitate to contact us using the Contact Form or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Q: What happens if I’ve booked and paid for a place and, when the time comes I’m not allowed to travel?
A: Should your home Government introduce a ruling which bans all travel to Spain or Spain bans any arrivals from your country of residence, then we would refund 100% of the monies you had paid to us, or keep them in lieu of a rescheduled Camp – whichever you prefer. In the event of the UK Government bringing in such a ban, we would have to postpone the Camp anyway as the tutors themselves would not be able to travel.
Q: What if the Government rules change and I am required to quarantine in a hotel either in Spain or my home country?
A: If your home Government bring in a ruling which means you would have to quarantine in a hotel on your return then, providing the ruling came into effect BEFORE the Camp begins, we will issue a refund or carry your money over to a future Camp - whichever you prefer.
Q: What happens if I test positive and cannot travel to the Camp?
A: EMC cannot be held responsible for individuals testing positive for Covid-19 and therefore not being able to attend the Camp. For that reason it is highly recommended that you take out Travel Insurance which covers cancellations etc due to Covid. These can be found relatively cheaply (less than £20 for the week). Q: If, for any of the reasons outlined above or any other legitimate reason the Camp has to be postponed, can I claim the cost of my flights or other travel costs?
A: EMC cannot be held responsible for any third party costs in the event of a Camp being postponed for reasons legitimately beyond their control. For that reason it is highly recommended that you take out Travel Insurance which covers cancellations etc due to Covid. These can be found relatively cheaply (less than £20 for the week). Q: What steps are you taking to keep Guests safe with regard to Covid-19?
A: We require all Guests to show evidence of full Covid vaccination or a negative test result taken within the 72 hours prior to arrival at the Camp. You will be asked to complete a Declaration before travelling and anyone not able to provide either one of those will not be allowed to attend. Whilst at the house we ask Guests to be mindful and respectful of each other’s safety and the house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before your arrival and is well stocked with liquid soap and hand sanitiser. Guests will be collected from the Airport and driven straight to the house. The house is in a secluded spot in the mountains and the nearest village is a 15 minute walk.
Q: What happens if a Guest tests positive while at the Camp?
A: Whilst we will take every effort to ensure the health and well-being of all of our guests we cannot be held responsible for anyone testing positive for Covid-19 during their stay at Camp. In the event of a guest testing positive during their stay, they will be required to isolate for the rest of the week. Thereafter finding safe accommodation will be the responsibility of the guest. We will of course offer every assistance but can accept no responsibility for accomodation beyond the period of the Camp as the likelihood is that there is another Camp starting.
